The INTACH Indore Chapter made a debut of its activities by organising a three-day Paintings exhibition ‘REVIVAL’ on 16th, 17th and 18th January 2009.Revival was a platform for the local artists of Indore to showcase their work and highlight their talents. It was a revival of the atmosphere in which art thrives and a revival of the dialog between the common man and the artists of this region. Most of all, it was the revival of the Heritage movement in the city. Art, Culture and Heritage combine to give a place its identity and INTACH seeks to nurture and protect Indore’s soul.
What better venue for the event than the iconic heritage monument – the Rajwada – a structure that has kept vigil over Indore for as long as any of us can remember. What better dignitaries than our very own Maharani of Indore Usha Devi Holkar and her husband Mr. Satish Malhotra to flag off the event and what better blend of art and craft, color and zeal, passion and fruition than the mega event REVIVAL.
