The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) is a nationwide, non-profit organisation. It strives to spread heritage awareness among the public and document the cultural resources of India. An important part of INTACH’s agenda is to “train and develop skills and related professions.” INTACH also plays a crucial role is in the field of Material Heritage and Art Conservation.
INTACH @ Indore
The Indore Chapter of INTACH came into existence in July 2008 with the coming together of the mandatory 25 life members. All the team members of INTACH Indore are passionate about conservation, enthusiastic about the implementations of core projects and superbly accomplished in their respective fields so as to give the best framework for the successful existence of their chapter.
Indore INTACH Chapter is geared up for a wide spectrum of activities to protect, conserve and promote the tangible, intangible and natural heritage of the Malwa region. Whether it is organising heritage walks to historical sites, forming the Young INTACH (for school children) or conducting street plays, exhibitions, public lectures and cultural meets – each activity is juxtaposed against the larger context of creating public awareness towards conservation.
Having said that, INTACH Indore would like to announce here that it is always scouting for more members to give the chapter a broader base and an ever-evolving presence. Please feel free to approach us with your queries and interests at the details given below:-
