उनके गाने में सुनाई दिया कुमार गंधर्व परम्परा का वैभव

इंटेक इन्दौर चेप्टर की शुरूआत में स्थानीय कलाकारों की चित्रकला नुमाइश,कलाकर्मी दिलीप चिंचालकर के लंदन यात्रावृत्त के साथ संगीत का सुमधुर आयोजन भी था. अतिथि कलाकार थीं जानी मानी गायिका कलापिनी कोमकली ;शास्त्रीय संगीत के तीर्थ पं.कुमार गंधर्व की सुपुत्री और सुशिष्या. 18 जनवरी की रात राजबाड़ा के नैपथ्य में कलापिनी को सुनना जैसे उस समय से एकाकार होना था जो किसी ज़माने में इस राजसी वैभव के वास्तु में स्पंदित होता था. एक लम्हा तो यूँ भी लगा जैसे समय अपने को पीछे ले जाना चाहता है. मल्हारी मार्तण्ड के मंदिर के निकट बने मंच पर कलापिनी आ बिराजीं और संगीतप्रेमियों को सुनने को मिला कुमार गंधर्व गायकी का वह ठाठ जो हमेशा से रंजकता, रोमांच और रस की सृष्टि करता रहा है. कलापिनी ने अपने गायन में शास्त्रीय , उप-शास्त्रीय और लोक संगीत के सारे रंग समाहित कर उस महफ़िल को अविस्मरणीय बना दिया. मालवा की सुर-कुमारी जैसे बंदिशों के ज़रिये रसिकों से बतिया रही थी. इंटेक इन्दौर इकाई की अगुआई में आयोजित कलापिनी के इस कार्यक्रम की स्मृति श्रोता अपने साथ तो ले ही गए साथ ही राजबाड़ा जैसी पुरातत्वीय धरोहर निर्विवाद रूप से राग-रागरागिनियों के सुमधुर प्रवाह से चैतन्य हो गईं हैं.

Now the citizens of Indore have something to look forward to from the INTACH Indore chapter - A photography exhibition called the Colors of Malwa to be held at the Rajwada from 20th to 21st of March 2009. The event will feature photographers associated with local newspapers as well as freelance photographers. The significant thing is that all the photographs will depict a sight from the wonderful, enchanting region of Malwa.

Revival - Painting Exhibition @ Rajwada Indore

The INTACH Indore Chapter made a debut of its activities by organising a three-day Paintings exhibition ‘REVIVAL’ on 16th, 17th and 18th January 2009.
Revival was a platform for the local artists of Indore to showcase their work and highlight their talents. It was a revival of the atmosphere in which art thrives and a revival of the dialog between the common man and the artists of this region. Most of all, it was the revival of the Heritage movement in the city. Art, Culture and Heritage combine to give a place its identity and INTACH seeks to nurture and protect Indore’s soul.
What better venue for the event than the iconic heritage monument – the Rajwada – a structure that has kept vigil over Indore for as long as any of us can remember. What better dignitaries than our very own Maharani of Indore Usha Devi Holkar and her husband Mr. Satish Malhotra to flag off the event and what better blend of art and craft, color and zeal, passion and fruition than the mega event REVIVAL.
